The film is decided for release on November 24. It stars Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Uday Chopra and Bipasha Basu in negative roles. The movie is the sequel to the 2004 blockbuster, Dhoom. Shooting for the film began at numerous locations in India including the Yash Raj Films studios and has now shifted to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. An action sequence in the film was recently shot in Durban, South Africa. The sequel, a hi-tech adventure movie to be directed once again by Sanjay Gadhvi, boasts an abundance of special effects and deed spectacles and is being marked as superior, costlier and more facade than 'Dhoom'.

Ali's (Uday Chopra) dream of being a police officer has become true. He is now ACP Jai Dixit's (Abhishek Bachchan) most dependable man. Mr. A (Hrithik Roshan) a hi-tech international thief. Shonali Bose (Bipasha Basu), Jai's college friend, now a police officer in her own right. Aryan matches with Sunehri (Aishwarya Rai), a pretty and clever thief. And so the game begins - a game of cat and mouse which extends from the desert of Namibia to the backwaters of Goa, the mean streets of Mumbai and the ancient castles of Rajasthan, and finally to wild and exotic Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
