During monsoon, a lot of airborne and waterborne microbes are let loose. So a good anti-bacterial toner can prevent skin infections and eruptions. It is a good idea to get anti-bacterial face wash too. You need to mildly tone a dry skin since the pore size is small. Use five drops chamomile oil in a one tsp milk to tone dry skin and ten drops Lavender oil in one tsp water to tone an oily skin. |

HAIR CARE
Never let your hair get wet in the rains. Pollution, suspended particles in the air which come down with the rain can settle on your scalp. Hence some feel itchy after getting wet in the rain. Always cover your hair with cheerful and colourful umbrellas or raincoats. Combined effect of sun heats and humidity can damage your hair.
TO KEEP YOUR HAIR DRY
Wash your hair thoroughly with a mild shampoo and conditioner if it gets wet in any way. If you have a long hair make sure you dry it as soon as it gets wet or else it can rot the roots of the hair and can produce bad smell. If you have a long hair, tie it up into a topknot when going out. Keeping a Turkish towel and a travel hairdryer can make you always clean and dry.

Massage your scalp with warm oil to keep dandruff and other hair problems at bay. Also dry massaging your scalp with your fingertips every night will help maintain blood circulation.

Muddy splash of monsoon may harm a lot in your feet. When you feel your leg fatigue then dip your legs in warm water. To remove bad smells from your feet you can mix lavender oil, rose oil with the milky water. It also makes your feet smooth and clean and utter comfortable.
REMAIN SIMPLE
Keep your hairstyles simple and easy. Elaborate hairstyles are more difficult to manage. You may use bangs and layered hairstyles instead. Bright jewelry is in vogue during monsoons but this is the minimalist year, so you may opt for stone studded light jewelry. |
